SDP Glass
Our process

Six steps from first call to finished glass.

No guesswork and no surprise pricing. Here is exactly what happens after you reach out, who shows up, and how long each stage takes.

Step by step

What to expect, in order.

01

Free consultation

Tell us about the bathroom: layout, tile, timeline, and the look you want. We answer questions and give honest ranges before anyone visits.

Usually the same day you reach out.

02

In-home measure

A technician measures the opening in person: plumb, level, curb slope, and hardware anchor points. Digital templates go straight to the shop.

About 30 to 45 minutes on site.

03

Design & quote

You choose glass thickness, edgework, coating, and hardware finish. The written quote is fixed. No surprise change orders later.

Quote in hand within one business day.

04

Fabrication

Glass is cut, tempered, polished, and drilled to your exact measurements, then inspected before it ever leaves the shop.

Typically 7 to 10 business days.

05

Installation

The same team that quoted the job sets the glass, anchors the hardware, seals the joints, and cleans up completely.

Most installs finish in one visit.

06

Walkthrough & warranty

We test the swing, review care instructions, and register your lifetime warranty on workmanship and hardware.

Backed for as long as you own the home.

Why the measure matters

Tempered glass can't be trimmed.

Openings are never square

Walls lean, curbs slope, and tile adds thickness. We measure every point rather than assuming a rectangle.

Hardware needs backing

Hinges and clamps have to land on solid substrate. We map anchor points during the measure, not on install day.

One order, no rework

Because the glass is cut once, an accurate template is the difference between a one-visit install and a three-week delay.

Common questions

Before you book a measure.

How long does the whole process take?

Most projects run two to three weeks from measure to install. Tempered glass has to be fabricated to your exact opening, and that step is what sets the timeline.

Do I need to have tile finished first?

Yes. Final measurements are taken on finished surfaces so the glass fits the opening as it will actually exist. We can pre-visit earlier to plan hardware and blocking.

Will the quote change after the measure?

No. Once the in-home measure is done, the written quote is fixed for the configuration you approved.

How disruptive is installation day?

Plan on two to four hours for a typical enclosure. We protect floors, keep the work contained to the bathroom, and haul away all packaging.
